Happy 10 weeks Baby Wilson!!

Well it has been awhile since I have posted! I am sorry about that!! I said I would do better, but sometimes I just completely forget! Anyways, not too much has been going on around the Wilson house! Charles had had a crazy October with lots of tests, he still has a couple more before the madness is over, but I think he is glad we are finally out of October! I am super glad that it is November, mostly because I can now decorate for Christmas and not seem like a crazy person! :) haha I love the holiday season, it's such a happy time of the year, and I love love love Christmas music!!! I feel as though only one month of Christmas music is not acceptable, which is why I give Christmas music two months! :)

Baby Wilson is 10 weeks along today!! :) We had a rough week last week, on Thursday I started bleeding a little bit, and it scared the crud out of me! Thank goodness I found an amazing doctor here in Tulsa, she had me come in that day just to make sure everything was ok. And thankfully it was, we had an ultrasound done, and she said the baby looked good, and it had a very strong heartbeat! I am so very very thankful that everything was ok! It was definitely an emotional day for me, but everything turned out for the best!! :) Here is the baby's 9 week ultrasound for Thursday...

And here is the picture from our 8 week appointment, in the picture the baby has a halo!! :) So adorable!! Its really the yoke sack, which is gone in our 9 week picture, but it was still incredibly adorable!!! :)....

We have another appointment next Thursday, it was suppose to be at 12 weeks instead of 11 weeks, but since we had the small scare she wanted me back a week early just to make sure everything is still ok! So that will be fun next week! Hopefully our appointment after that will be the appointment where we find out the sex of the baby!!!! :) I can't wait for that appointment! I can't wait to start decorating the room, and buying stuff for the baby!

Well that's about it for the Wilson clan, we are all ready for Christmas break so we can have some time off together! I had last week off and have this week and next week off as well since I work at a year round school, which has been wonderful, but since Charles isn't here too it's not as much fun! But I am still extremely grateful for the break, it is and has been much needed!! Well that's all for now, I will try to update again next week after our appointment! Baby Wilson

Well we are at week 6 now!!! :) on Wednesday we will be at week 7! It's crazy how fast it is going! Although I really cannot wait to see our baby, only 12 more days!!! That might be the most exciting day so far, I just can't wait to see him/her, it will make it seem so much more real! :) The only bad part of the week has been that I started to get morning sickness! Yuck!! It started on Thursday, and I felt pretty bad, but I went to work and stuck it out, however I woke up Friday and there was no way I could have gone to work! I slept half the day and was sick all day!! :( But I think it was really helpful that I got to sleep so much, because I woke up Saturday and felt better. I think that I wasn't getting enough sleep and that just caused me to get sick, but I am hoping that the bad morning sickness won't come back this week, we shall see! Other than that everything has been great, I am loving every minute of being pregnant!! :)
Other than all the exciting baby stuff, not much is going on around the Wilson house. Charles has three tests this week, but he will do amazing like he always does! I hope the baby gets his super smart brain!! ;) haha I have just been working like crazy! I do love my job, but it keeps me busy, and being pregnant and sleepy does not mix well with crazy busy! haha but I will live, so no complaining here! Life is great and I can't wait to see the next 34 weeks unfold! :) Well that's all for now! Hope everyone has a fantastic week this week!!

Baby love...

Well it has been a super super exciting week and a half! We found out on Saturday September 17th that we are having a baby!!!! :) I was however not expecting to find this out so quickly. haha I was actually taking a test to show my sister that I didn't know whether I was pregnant or not yet, because I expected the test to say "not pregnant" but to my surprise it did quite the opposite!! haha I didn't think I would get a positive test for at least another 3 or 4 days, but that was not the case at all! So of course I had to take three tests (maybe more haha) to make sure that I was actually pregnant!

We were rather excited when we realized this meant that I am actually pregnant and that the tests aren't just lying! haha Charles and I have been ecstatic ever since that Saturday!! We told out family this past Friday that we are pregnant, and I think everyone was pleasantly surprised and super excited!! I am glad that we have such a supportive family!! We made cute pictures using the picture above and adding the words We are having a baby!!! :) They were pretty cute, and they definitely surprised everyone!
Today was our first baby appointment, and we didn't do much except talk about when the due date would be, and getting a million samples of different vitamins! Then I have to give what seemed like a million vials of blood!! I hate giving blood, its for the good of the baby and at this point I would do anything for our little peanut!! :) We are soo extremely excited to go though this wonderful journey!! So I will keep everyone updated as we go to the doctors, and of course I will have to post ultrasound pictures..duh! haha :)

Other than that extremely exciting news, not too much has been going on. I am enjoying teaching very much! There are days that are more challenging than others, and today would definitely be one of those days! But that's ok, I know this is a completely different group of kids then I am use to working with. They know way too much about things that 5th and 6th graders should not know about. I never know what to say when they start talking about some of the things they do, but I will learn! haha I will hopefully be full time at one of the schools within the next few weeks so I don't have to keep traveling between the two. That will make life much easier on me!!

Well that's about all that is happening right now, life is wonderful and I am so thankful for the amazing husband that I have, that supports me through everything, and who is just as crazy excited about this baby as I am! We are having an amazing time living our life together and I couldn't ask for anything more! :) Well that's it for me today, I will update again soon!! Have a wonderful week everyone!

What a week!

Well it has been awhile since I have updated! Oops!! And probably the only reason I have time to do it today is because I am at home sick! Yuck!! But that's what happens when you work with little kids everyday!! Haha!
Well it has been a very interesting week to say the least. I had a job interview on Tuesday with Tulsa Public Schools, and I wasn't sure how the interview went, I honestly felt like I wouldn't get a job offer. But to my surprise I was offered a Job!!! :) So I will now be a part time Special Ed teacher at two Tulsa public schools! I am very excited, I was not sure how I felt about it at first, but I think this will be a great experience for me! It will be a very different variety of students between the two schools, because I will most likely be teaching 3rd grade at one school and 5th grade at the other, so it should be interesting!! The fun part is though that one school is a year round school and the other is not, so there will be a couple of times where the year round school has a three week break, so I will be getting paid to only teach part time! Can't beat that! :)
So other than that exciting news, there is not really much going on around the Wilson house. Charles is doing FANTASTIC in school this semester! He makes me so proud, I just wish I was half as smart as he is! :) (He will hate me for saying this about him! haha he is rather shy about his smartness! But he amazes me, so I have to say something about it anyways!) September should be a pretty slow month around here, but October on the other hand will be crazy, because Charles has a test just about every two days during October! Yuck! But I will be here to be as supportive as I can be during that time. I know his stress levels will be crazy! :( But once October is done with November and December will be smooth sailing!
Well I don't know much else to talk about right now, so I guess I will just say hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! :)

Life lately...

Well as I promised, I am trying to update as often as I think about it! Haha I should probably be sleeping right now, but I can't get to sleep so I figured now is a good a time as any to write a blog post! :) haha Well I can say that in the past week many great things have happened, and life is wonderful! I was offered a job, but it's not what I am looking to do! I am not quite sure why the things I want to do are not offered to me, but things I really have no interest in doing are offered to me?! I am just going to keep hoping and praying that the right position for me will come along!! I really hate to say no to this position that was offered because I truly am afraid that nothing better will come along, but I guess that's where my faith and trust in God comes into play! I know that when one door closes another one always opens, and I just hope the next door is the right opportunity and the right position for me!! But no matter what, I have faith that it will all work out, and God has a great plan for me! :)
On Friday I went and hung out with many of the wonderful SAA ladies at the playgroup! I know I don't have kids yet, but it was so nice to just be able to go and talk for a couple of hours with these wonderful ladies! It's sometimes easy to forget that there are other people going through this med school journey too, and it's just amazing to be able to talk to them about things you feel like no one understands because amazingly they do understand and they know exactly what it's like! It's just amazing, and I am so glad that I have gotten involved in this wonderful organization!! :)
Tuesday is my birthday!! :) yay! Although really once you past 21 there isn't much to be excited about anymore, it's just another birthday! But I feel like this next year of my life is going to have some very exciting adventures and I cannot wait!! :)
Well I guess I should really try to sleep now! I hope this week brings some exciting opportunities for me, but we shall see!! :) have a great Monday everyone!!

Update- Well I lied, haha I did end up taking the job! It's crazy, I prayed about the job before going to sleep last night and I woke up this morning knowing that I needed to take the job. I am not really sure yet why I need this job, but I guess God knows all the plans! :) It has been a great day so far, I am happy and excited for the week!! Well just wanted to share my little update to my post from last night! Have a wonderful day everyone!! :)

Starting up a blog!

Well I have sort of had a blog before, I didn't do a very good job of keeping up with it, I can't exactly promise that I will be good with this one either but I am going to try!! I decided I should start a blog to keep up with my daily thoughts and events, so here I go...

I have been looking for a teaching job for about 3 months now, and still have not found anything. I know God has a plan for everything so I am trying to stay positive and know that what ever his plan is that it will work out. However being human I want so badly to know what that plan is!! I keep hoping and praying everyday that I will hear back about a job interview, but as of yet I still have not heard anything! This makes me sad only because I truly LOVE teaching, it makes me so happy to educate children and to help better their lives. I went into Special Education because I was saddened by the way that I saw some children being treated in school. Just because a child has a special need does not in any way make them less important than any other child, yet sometimes in schools you see teachers treating these children badly because they can't be bothered with taking a little extra time to help these children. It makes me so sad and extremely mad!! But that's not to say that all teachers are that way, there are many many great teachers, it's just the ones that do act like that that I wish I could give a little come to Jesus meeting to! haha But anyways, sorry about my little rant there, just wanted to get that out! haha But really I am hoping that I might hear something soon, or that I will understand what God's plan is so that I will stop stressing out about not having a job!!

But on to a different topic, Charles and I have settled very nicely into our house here in Tulsa. I really haven't been a huge fan of Tulsa, mostly just because I miss all of my friends and family in Edmond, but the longer that we are here the more it is growing on me. I am actually making friends and becoming involved in activities, and it helps me not miss Edmond so much. Of course I still miss my friends and family but it makes it just a little bit easier! I am the Treasurer of SAA, which is the Student Advocate Association for Charles med school, kind of a great group for the wives and husbands of med students. It has been great getting involved because there are so many great people in this group, and it helps to be able to talk to people that know what its like to not see much of your spouse for a year because they are constantly studying! haha But I am very thankful to have this group, it gives me something to look forward to so that I am not just sitting around the house bored all the time! I think it has helped Charles and I's relationship too because I am not always nagging him about how I miss Edmond. But really I am soooo very thankful to have Charles in my life!! We have now been together for 6 1/2 years, but it seems like just yesterday that we were in our junior year of high school and he was flirting with me to make other guys jealous! haha That's what started it all, and I am so thankful everyday for my best friend and him conspiring to make my ex-boyfriend jealous because other wise I am not sure that Charles and I would have started dating! But God has a way of making things work out, and I am very thankful for it! Charles makes my world so much better and I cannot imagine life without him!! :) We have been on this journey of med school for a year now, and it has become less stressful since the beginning and I am thankful for that. 2nd year has so far been a little easier on him, which is very nice because I get to see him a little more than I did last year, which is always better!! Anyways, I think that is enough of my endless rambling for today! I am going to make it a point to try to update this as much as possible, so we will see how that goes! But for now I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend!! :)
